Shrimp Aglio E Olio | Shrimp Garlic Olive Oil Spaghetti | Spaghetti With Shrimp | Prawns Pasta


15-20 raw shrimp
1/2 lb (.22 kg) spaghetti (cook the spaghetti as per package directions and keep al dante) Retain 1 cup pasta water
2-3 garlic cloves crushed
Handful of chopped parsley
1 Tsp crushed red pepper
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
Salt as per taste
1/2 Tsp coarse black pepper powder



Heat the olive oil on low flame and add the garlic.
Allow to cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes. Don’t brown.
Add shrimp, salt and pepper and cook the shrimp for 3-4 minutes turning halfway into cooking
Add pasta water, allow to cook for another minute.
Add the cooked spaghetti, parsley and crushed red pepper.
Serve drizzled with the sauce and pecorino Romano cheese or Parmesan cheese.
