In this video I unbox the brand new and highly anticipated fully functional 3x4x5 cube make by MF8/TomZ. I've wanted this cube for a long time and Tom Z had invented it and produces them on Shapeways. I had one of Tom's 3x4x5's ordered from there for around 220 dollars and a couple of weeks later Tom emailed me to let me know that he never sent in my order because he knew that it was being mass produced and that he would save me money. Very kind of him.

However, after getting the puzzle my thoughts on the actual puzzle itself are not what I thought they would be. This MF8 version does NOT use Tom Z's design. Ive seen video's of Tom Z's design and I have to say that I'm pretty sure that Tom Z's design is much much better as this cube is pretty flimsy and pops a LOT. You have to be very careful how you turn this puzzle or you risk the chance of it falling apart on you and it is not a fun one to assemble haha.

Overall, I think in the future I will still buy the shape ways one. I still suggest that you get this puzzle if your a careful cuber. It's quite the challenge.
