Founded in british columbia canada in december 1987, Clearly canadian was sold as a premium sparkling water drink. It was considered the drink that spearheaded the premium new age beverage market.
By the 90’s they became huge and to this day they’re seen as one of the few drinks always seen in a lot of nostalgic 90’s pages and videos. Clearly canadian always get brought up then.

In 1994 they test marketed clearly tea and clearly two, a 2 calorie diet version of their sparkling waters

In 1996 they took a detour with a new line of drinks called orbitz as well, a very outer space themed style drink that contained little fruit flavored orbs made of gellan gum that would stay suspended in the water. It was painfully ahead of its time and it failed within a year or so later.

In 1998 They introduced a few more drinks such as battery which was a caffeinated berry drink, then they released clearly canadian O plus 2 which was a water based drink that was enhanced with 10 times the normal level of oxygen. This drink was aimed to be for athletes. There were also refresher drinks as well.

By 2000, major competition from larger companies were in the sparkling water game and clearly canadian was having trouble keep afloat. They struggled along and became less relevant and by 2012 the company was bought out and we relaunched with a crowd funded presale campaign in 2013
By 2015 that presale reached 25,000 cases, which led to clearly canadian going back into production.
It slowly grew and grew and in 2021 it was sold again to private investors

In 2024 the launch of the original flavors in sleek cans hit the market

Summer Strawberry
Stop and smell the strawberries! Considered members of the rose family, they give off a sweet fragrance as they grow on bushes. Voted on by fans, Clearly Canadian Summer Strawberry is our first new additional flavour.

Wild Cherry
Tangy and tart, with just the right amount of sweetness, Clearly Canadian Wild Cherry is the best of both worlds, awakening the senses with every sip.
