How To Replace Coil Packs and Spark Plugs on an Audi TT 2.0 TFSI with Engine Misfire EPC & EML light

Описание к видео How To Replace Coil Packs and Spark Plugs on an Audi TT 2.0 TFSI with Engine Misfire EPC & EML light

Here's how to replace the coil packs and Spark Plugs on an Audi TT 2.0 TFSI (Mark 2) from 2006 to 2014.

This engine is used in a lot of VW, Seat and Audi models and the procedure will be more or less the same for all models with this engine.

A very common fault with these is coil pack failure. This can cause the car to be sluggish, judder, misfire, lack power and will in most cases (it did on this car!) make the EPC and engine management light illuminate.

It's a relatively easy fix, often people will change just the one coil pack that has failed but usually once one goes the others tend to follow! They are not too expensive so it makes sense to change them all at once. On this car someone had previously changed just one which you can see is different from the others in the video.

It's a very easy job to do and hopefully can save you some time and money if you do it yourself.

List of tools and parts used and where you can buy them cheaply:

Coil Pack - These fit my car but do make sure to put in your reg to be completely sure they fit yours:

Bosch Spark Plugs are here - again please make sure to enter your reg to make sure these are the correct ones for you. At the time of making this video the Champion ones were no longer available on Amazon but in case you want to use Champion then the plug code for the ones I used is CET11P:

icarsoft CR MAX - this is an amazing tools and if you fix many cars I recommend investing in one! However if you only do the odd job now and again you can get much cheaper tools that can clear faults. The icarsoft tools can be bought here:

A budget OBD diagnostic tool that should be able to clear fault codes can be bought here:

16mm spark plug socket with 1/2 inch fitting complete with RUBBER INSERT!!!

1/2 inch torque wrench:

If you don't have a socket set then you will need an extension bar to rear into the cylinder hear:

Alternatively, you can get a full affordable socket set with the spark plug socket here:

If you have a decent 16mm socket then you won't need to use the grab claw tool I used but in case you wanted one (why not!) then you can get it here:

T30 Torx small wrench:

In case you can't pull out your coils then this tool will help:

If this video helps you or you found something useful in it then I'd be really grateful if you could take a moment to click the thumbs up and subscribe to the channel for more videos fixing broken things!

This is how I did the job, I am a just a car enthusiast and have basic (worn out) tools. The video is meant as a guide for entertainment purposes only. If it helps someone that's fantastic but if in any doubt then always consult a professional mechanic before undertaking a project yourself.
