Noir is one of my all-time favorite albums. When I first heard Heal the Wound a couple of years ago, it blew me away. Lyrically and musically, it just struck a powerful chord (pun intended). At the time, I thought I would never have the chops to tackle such a song. Fast forward through a month and a half of slow metronome practice and self-doubt....and I believe I've reached my goal. Although, that initial run-up in the solo still kicks my butt. There's nothing like great music to inspire you to pick up the guitar. It's what it's all about. Matteo's lyrics on this track are especially good. He's always written some of the deepest in the genre. The entire band is truly underrated.

I'm very proud to have put this together and I hope with all of my heart that I did it justice. These covers are just a therapeutic way for me to share music that I really dig and I hope anyone watching feels the same. Novelists FR has always been a favorite of mine and I can't wait to hear that new album they are working on. Sal3m is also on another level and anyone who hasn't checked Matt's band out should!
