Kickdown & High Speed | Ex-Metroline TP417 | Plaxton President Dennis Trident Voith

Joining VP614 as part of the fleet which attended the Low-Ish Floor Running Day is TP417!... same bodywork... different chassis being the Dennis Trident and of course the Cummins engine! This bus spent it's time in the North, North-West and the Western side of London, based at Potters Bar, Holloway, Cricklewood and Brentford. There weren't many of these Plaxton bodied Voith Tridents in London, other batches being the TPLs of course, PDN from Go-Ahead... and that's all I can remember off the top of my head. On this day it was on Route 22 like all the other double deckers, featuring some Kickdown as usual and hitting speeds of 50mph (+ -). I'm sure by now we all know what the average Voith Trident sounds like so I need not explain much more here. 🤣 But yeah as a childhood local and part of the first batch that got me liking such vehicles, this journey was very nostalgic! It's been like 10 years since I last boarded one of these. 😌

I'd like to thank Bromley Bus Preservation Group and everyone else involved who put in so much time, money and effort to make a great day out for everyone to enjoy themselves. Hope to see you lot out again next year! 🙌🏾
