Welcome to the first episode of Test My Tastebuds - featuring the World's Best Female Chef 2025.

This year, I challenged myself to fly solo to Thailand to meet the World’s Best Female Chef. Tasting Chef Pam's delectable, Michelin-starred food was a truly unforgettable experience. But there was just one thing... I was blindfolded and had to guess what I was eating. It went about as well as you'd expect.

Test My Tastebuds is the new series where I, Farrah Solim, a TV Producer and content creator wannabe put my palate to the test with award-winning chefs. The stakes? My own ego (and maybe having to do the dishes).

This episode, I'm in Bangkok at the incredible Potong Restaurant with the one and only Chef Pam (Pichaya Soontornyanakij). Just so we're clear, this isn't just any chef. We're talking about the reigning World's Best Female Chef 2025 (The World's 50 Best), who holds a Michelin Star, a 3 Knives award, AND is a legendary judge on both Top Chef and Iron Chef Thailand. So yeah, no pressure then. I was trying to guess ingredients from her exquisite Thai menu - that I was not allowed to look at. And yes, the challenge was so much harder than I expected.
