This is a must-try trip at least once. The route is not very long but is filled with scenic routes and landscapes. The bus goes through the Dindi Reservoir, Nallamala Forest, Amrabad Tiger Reserve & Srisailam Dam. All really beautiful and make the journey even more pleasurable. Especially the Srisailam Dam is a must-see. The huge dam is constructed across the Krishna River & is the 2nd largest capacity working hydroelectric station in India. The bus passes through the huge dam via the Srisailam bridge. The Telangana & Andhra Pradesh border runs down the Krishna river. Hence, you go from one mountain in Telangana to the next mountain in Andhra Pradesh via the Srisailam bridge.

There are many buses available from MGBS bus stand. Both TSRTC Express & Super Luxury buses are available. I booked the 7 am TSRTC Express bus. I booked the ticket online from TSRTC website. It is advisable to book the tickets and keep as the bus tends to get full. The fare of the TSRTC Express bus was Rs. 400 & for the Super Luxury it was Rs.518. It takes approximately 6 hours to reach the destination. The distance is 221 Kms. My bus reached Srisailam 15 mins before time. Srisailam buses are available from Amrabad Tiger Reserve. The timetable is also available there of Express & Super Luxury buses for Srisailam. The Nallamala Ghat road is a pretty narrow road and sometimes it gets difficult to pass. You will spot a lot of monkeys after entering the reserve.
