Tinga: A Versatile Mexican Sauce

Tinga is one of my favorite sauces, not only for its flavor but also for its versatility. This Tinga sauce is also great with poultry, fish, shellfish, and vegetables. The two main components of this sauce are tomatoes (fresh or canned) and chipotle peppers. These peppers are jalapenos that have been smoked and packed in an adobo sauce. Chipotle peppers are smoky, chocolatey, spicy, and full of flavor. I also added some ingredients to take this Tinga sauce to another level. We serve this sauce with shrimp for a delicious Latin Rice Bowl! Make It Sabroso!
