VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL HISTORY (EMOTIONAL INTERVIEWS WITH VIETNAM VETERANS/PARK RANGER) (4K)

Описание к видео VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL HISTORY (EMOTIONAL INTERVIEWS WITH VIETNAM VETERANS/PARK RANGER) (4K)

My visit to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. was an emotional one as I interviewed a park ranger who tells us the symbolism of the memorial, including why architect Maya Lin organized the 58,000 names of the dead and missing soldiers the way that she did. I then interviewed six former Marines who fought in Vietnam and it was 50 years to the day that they lost their comrades in battle. At least two of these heroes were wounded in battle. Both interviews were unplanned, but I'm so glad I did them and I hope you are, too. Prior to these two interviews, you will hear some history about the black granite wall, as well as two more pieces of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial that most visitors are not aware of: the "Three Servicemen" statue, and the Vietnam Women's Memorial.
