The 2025 BYD Dolphin is offered in multiple trims that balance efficiency, performance, and affordability, making it a versatile compact electric hatchback. Entry-level variants are equipped with a 44.9 kWh LFP Blade Battery, producing 70 kW (95 hp) and 180 Nm of torque, allowing a 0–100 km/h sprint in around 12.3 seconds and a top speed of about 150 km/h. These models deliver an estimated driving range of roughly 340 km on the WLTP cycle, while CLTC figures extend to around 420 km, emphasizing urban usability and everyday efficiency.

Higher trims, including the Premium and Knight Edition, step up significantly in performance and range. These versions use a larger 60.5 kWh Blade Battery paired with a more powerful front-mounted motor generating 150 kW (204 hp) and 310 Nm of torque, enabling brisk acceleration from 0–100 km/h in approximately 7.0 seconds and a higher top speed of around 160 km/h. Driving range also improves to about 427 km WLTP, or up to 520 km under CLTC testing, making them better suited for longer commutes and highway driving.

Across all trims, the 2025 BYD Dolphin benefits from BYD’s proven Blade Battery technology, front-wheel-drive layout, and a McPherson front suspension setup that prioritizes comfort and stability. Standard features on lower trims include conventional cruise control, manual driver seat adjustment, and smaller alloy wheels, while higher-end models add premium touches such as adaptive cruise control, a panoramic glass roof, heated front seats, wireless smartphone charging, and larger wheels, enhancing both safety and overall cabin experience.
