Visited Stella Maris Monastery and Cave of Elijah in Haifa , Israel.
My friend and I went on a tour exploring Haifa - Israel's third-largest city. We visited Stella Maris Monastery (Carmelite Monastery)- at Mount Carmel.
The monastery’s church is very beautiful and is built over a sacred cave. According to the tradition Elijah hid here from queen Jezebel. On their return from Egypt, Joseph, Mary and Jesus, also sheltered in the cave.
After spending some time exploring the area we went to near by cafe- restaurant- Santa Maria and enjoyed coffee and dessert.
To conclude out trip and make it even more memorable we took a ride on the cable car and enjoyed the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea.
