In our print shop exhibit at the Sacramento History Museum, we like to test a variety of ink colors to see how prints turn out. Many of our viewers have asked about printing in white ink. Well, here’s using a printing press to print something that might be difficult for a modern copy machine.

In this video, Jared letterpress prints a thank you card. The font for “THANK YOU!” is Balloon 60 point and the image of the shouting individual is from an electrotype made in the 1930s. This was printed with opaque white rubber base ink using a 3x5 Kelsey Excelsior tabletop printing press.
