Luoyang Laojun Mountain Scenic Area is located in Laojun Mountain Scenic Area, Luanchuan Township, Luanchuan County , Luoyang City, Henan Province CHINA,

covering an area of 26,660,000 square meters.
Laojun Mountain was formerly known as Jingshi Mountain. It was named Laojun Mountain because Laozi, the founder of Taoism in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, practiced in seclusion here. It is the main peak of the 800-li Funiu Mountain, with an altitude of 2,217 meters. Laojun Mountain was formed during the continental orogeny 1.9 billion years ago, creating its diverse landscapes.

The Luoyang Laojun Mountain Scenic Area is huge and is mainly divided into the Laojun Mountain Main Scenic Area in the center, the Dream Valley Scenic Area in the west, and the Zhaigou Scenic Area in the east. The Luoyang Laojun Mountain Main Scenic Area includes major attractions such as Zhongtianmen, Jinding, Laojun Temple, Nantianmen, Yuhuangding, and Mazongling.

Luoyang Laojun Mountain Scenic Area has been named a national nature reserve, a provincial scenic spot, and a provincial cultural relic protection unit. In 2012, Luoyang Laojun Mountain Scenic Area was rated as a national 5A tourist attraction.

洛阳老君山风景区，位于河南省洛阳市栾川县栾川乡老君山风景名胜区，占地面积26660000平方米。老君山古号景室山，因东周道家始祖老子归隐修炼于此而得名老君山，是八百里伏牛山主峰，海拔2217米。老君山形成于十九亿年前的大陆造山运动，造就了其千姿百态的景观。

洛阳老君山风景区面积庞大，主要分为居中的老君山主景区、西部的追梦谷景区和东部的寨沟景区。洛阳老君山主景区内包括了中天门、金顶、老君庙、南天门、玉皇顶以及马鬃岭等主要景点。

洛阳老君山风景区先后被命名为国家级自然保护区、省级风景名胜区、省级文物保护单位。2012年，洛阳老君山风景区被评为国家5A级旅游景区。

HISTORY

In December 1997, Laojun Mountain Nature Reserve was promoted to "Funiu Mountain National Nature Reserve".
