United States Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, highlighted the repatriation ceremony held in New York, where the US returned 105 trafficked antiquities to India. The artifacts, handed over during the ceremony organized by the Indian consulate, will soon be transported to India. The repatriation follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's state visit to the US, during which both countries pledged to combat the illegal trafficking of cultural artifacts through a Cultural Property Agreement. The collaboration between Homeland Security and law enforcement agencies aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in this regard.
