Friday saw us testing using the new AO52 tyres and wow instant grip and lots of it. We had great pace all day achieving some great continues times straight from the pit with cold tyres.

Saturday we went out for qualifying and again the continues pace was there. With 46 cars out on track all trying to achieve there qualifying lap time it was hard to find a gap to get the ultimate fastest lap which put us in P8 against some very fast and seasoned drivers.
Siting on P8 with 42 cars on grid I knew I needed to have a good start and try to get ahead with the front runners and keep out of trouble. Unfortunately, I messed the rolling start up and went to early causing me to brake and lose 5 places putting me now P13. Knowing I had the pace I put my head down and managed to start gaining some places bringing me back up into P7. Knowing the safety car was about to be called out we decided to pit, leaving our pit stop we were unfortunately impeded, and I couldn’t be released due to traffic on the pit lane which added extra time to my pit stop. So back out on track again for the last 15min I managed to get to P7 whilst trying to battle with a Golf who defended his position to the last second of the race. Finished the race in P7.

It’s a shame the season has now come to an end as im really starting to gel with the Cupra and running the new AO52 tyres and a new setup has made a massive difference.

Thank you to everyone that came to support me at my last race of 2023, it really means a lot.
