The search and rescue (SAR) operation for Vijayalaksmi, the victim of the Jalan Masjid India sinkhole, will involve flushing two manholes again after it was discovered that the water flow in the sewage system was slow, said Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department deputy director Rozihan Anwar Mamat.

During a press conference at the sinkhole site on Sunday (Aug 25), Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif reported that the flushing operation would be conducted alongside an intensive search at the sewage system's endpoint at the Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) sewage plant in Pantai Dalam.

Meanwhile, Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Sulizme Affendy Sulaiman assured that the search would continue until the victim was found.
