Gigafactory Texas on 20 June 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

For today, I take a different approach to the video, using 5 key areas as markers to then do a time progression to illustrate how much has changed in these key areas. I then also use many comparison photos throughout the full site flyover in the video to further illustrate the changes.
Let’s celebrate 11 months of progress and reflect on the amazing progress since they began with a depleted sand and gravel mine, big hills and ponds to what we see today!

Here are the highlights from today's video:
We do a flight over the entire work area and use comparison photos along the way to help illustrate the changes that have occurred over an 11-month period since they broke ground on 22 July 2020.
The casting machine area is moving along quickly, with over 30 columns, 15 beams and many concrete “Double-T” roof sections installed! Also, there are dozens and dozens of newly made Model Y front castings!
The steel structure has grown again on the south side, but it appears more steel deliveries will be needed soon to continue the assembly as most of the stockpile has now been used. More trenching for water pipes and storm water management systems on the west side of this building.
The central area water vault pit is being filled with compacted soil and GeoPiers are working where it appears a new row of column support footings will be added to allow for a steel structure over this area and filling in the central area.
Several areas around the main facility show a thin pavement-like coating to help with erosion and dust. We also see an extension of the Harold Green Road 4-way intersection to the south, between the battery cathode foundation and the large parking lot.
Work on the road under the south bridge and off to the west continues and it appears work to extend this road east to and then around the stamping machine structure is also underway.

I hope you enjoyed this approach to commemorate the 11-month anniversary of the start of work at Giga Texas. It’s not the normal style I use, but hopefully it helps to convey the tremendous amount of progress they have (and continue to) made in such a short period.
