Some classic Motown now - The Four Tops first record release, written by the Motown production team of Holland, Dozier and Holland. Lead vocals provided by Levi Stubbs, it made #11 in the US and #4 in Canada in 1964. Shamefully, it was ignored in the UK. We needed Dusty Springfield to bring the Motown artists over to Britain and feature so many of them on a TV special before we "switched on" to the Motown sound.
