PM JAM NITES (Open Mic)

is an event on the 2nd Friday of the month to attract local talent and create an artistically social event. Artists sign up to perform and are delegated a slot to perform .Designated Artists are featured and showcased along with the open mic performances.

The Open Mic event begins at 9:00pm.

PM JAM NITES (The Artist Showcase & DJ After Party)

The Artist Showcase & DJ After Party is an event where music and arts are performed by handpicked seasoned musicians/ artists to showcase them and their material in a live music environment including bands, spoken word, singer /songwriters, comics, painters and dancers at Dorrians Pub & Restaurant in Pavonia Newport Jersey City 07310. (Opposite the Newport Path Station)

The Artist Showcase is followed by a Dj After-party to end the nite dancing with a DJ/emcee.

PlayMusician provides a platform for artists, both upcoming and established, to showcase their talent, ranging from singer /songwriters , solo artists, spoken word/poetry and full bands. We provide a comfortable, laid back venue with the intention of being a place where people can come together and enjoy local artists, and eventually becoming a staple in the community. We help local businesses such as bars/restaurants become music venues . Playmusician has been an artist bedrock since 2010.

Playmusician hosts PM JAM NITES which are events for open mics and artist showcases held on the 2nd and 4th friday of the month respectively at a local venue.

We provide a comfortable, laid back venue with the intention of being a place where people can come together and enjoy local artists, and eventually becoming a staple in the community.

We help local businesses such as bars/restaurants become music venues . Playmusician has been an artist bedrock since 2010.

General Information

PlayMusician is a group that promotes local artists and musicians by creating musical events with eclectic themes and showcasing them.

Seasoned artists have been matched with young up and coming musicians that want to learn, all focused on creating a set list of music based on a theme.

We also try to promote any other types of artists such as photographers, videographers, henna artists, painters, comedians, dancers, etc. An artist's passion is what we hope to support and encourage.

It's a community that we hope to grow through our events, website, social media and personal networking.
