देश की पश्चिमी सरहद पर बसे जैसलमेर के बाहला के 27 बीडी चक इलाके में बीते 28 दिसंबर को सुबह 6 बजे ट्यूबवेल खुदाई के दौरान हुई भूगर्भीय घटना बेहद चौंकाने वाली थी. ट्यूबवेल की बोरिंग के दौरान भारी दबाव के कारण ट्रक और 22 टन वजनी मशीन देखते ही देखते जमीन में समा गए. इसके बाद भूगर्भ से पानी और गैस क साथ सिलट का तेज प्रेशर बाहर निकलने का सिलसिला शुरु हुआ और रेगिस्तान में मानो समुंद्र की उत्पति हो गई. लेकिन 29 दिसंबर रात करीब 11 बजे अचानक यह सिलसिला थम गया. 28 दिसंबर से 29 दिसंबर तक हुई घटना को लेकर 31 दिसंबर को ONGC की क्राइसिस मैनेजमेंट टीम ने घटना स्थल का निरीक्षण किया. इस निरीक्षण के दौरान सामने आए तथ्यों को लेकर क्राइसिस मैनेजमेंट टीम ने 1 जनवरी 2025 को जिला कलेक्टर प्रताप सिंह नाथावत को एक रिपोर्ट भी सौंपी है.

But this process suddenly stopped at around 11 pm on 29 December. ONGC's Crisis Management Team inspected the incident site on 31 December regarding the incident that took place from 28 December to 29 December. The Crisis Management Team has also submitted a report to District Collector Pratap Singh Nathawat on 1 January 2025 regarding the facts revealed during this inspection.
