Kamala Harris has a narrow polling lead over Donald Trump but is set to receive fewer electoral votes in the 2024 US presidential election, according to a poll of polls by The Times and The Sunday Times.

After the pair held their first TV debate with less than two months until Americans vote, Harris, the Democratic nominee, was 2.8 percentage points ahead of Trump, the Republican candidate. In the crucial swing states that will decide the election, Harris is performing better than President Biden managed, but the electoral college still looks close.
