Which organizations require ESI registration?
Following establishments having 10 or more persons must have ESI registration:-
(1) Factories
(2) Shop
(3) Hotels/restaurants
(4) Cinemas
(5) Road Transport agencies;
(6) Newspaper agencies.
(7) Education Institutions run by individuals, trustees, societies
(8) Medical Institutions such as hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic centres, path-labs.

When is ESI Registration mandatory?
It is mandatory for:- Companies having 10 or more permanent employees Companies hiring 10 or more employees whose salary less than INR 21,000/-

Penalty for not getting ESI Registration?
Penalty for not obtaining ESI Registration, when it’s mandatory, is INR 10,000/-

What are the documents required for ESIC registration?
(1) Registration certificate
(2) Address proof
(3) PAN of business entity
(4) PAN of all business directors
(5) Cancel Cheque
(6) Digital signature of anyone director

What is the validity of ESI Registration?
ESI certificate is valid for a lifetime and requires no renewal.

ESI contribution rate
Employer’s contribution:- 0.75%
Employee’s contribution:- 3.25%
