Chassidic Songs:

The Chassidic melody originated in the Jews from Eastern Europe from the 18-19th. Century and is the link that ties between the Jewish people in the Diaspora and the establishment of the State of Israel. It is present in this land's daily life from the days of the first "aliyot", when many of the pioneers wrote Hebrew words to the Chassidic tunes they remembered from their homes back in Europe. For many years onward many Chassidic songs, based on words from the sources and prayers were added.
In October 1969 the first Chassidic festival was held, and have been held since every year - it has contributed many songs to the treasure of Hebrew songs.
Many of the Chassidic songs composed and performed in these festivals were later spread throughout the world, and many are included in the tunes sung at Synagogues as well.
