Don't Starve Shipwrecked: Unlock Woodlegs Speedrun on day 6 in

Описание к видео Don't Starve Shipwrecked: Unlock Woodlegs Speedrun on day 6 in

Wood Legs is a Shipwrecked character who can be acquired in the volcano with three keys -- the iron key from defeating Quacken, the bone key from fishing watery graves, and the golden key by trading with Yaarctopus.

The first thing you want to do in your quest to unlock Wood Legs from his cage is to spawn Quacken because defeating it will (possibly) yield a walking cane. Walking canes make you go much faster in the water, so it's definitely a handy thing to bring along.

Quacken can be spawned fairly early on by using the trawlnet in deep ocean. You can tell if it's deep ocean by checking the color of the water on your map; if it's the darkest shade of blue with waves, then that is the place you want to be. It can also be spawned by using the trawlnet in shipwrecked areas (the places that have the graveyard fog effect), but deep ocean is far easier to find.

Fighting Quacken is pretty straightforward. You'll probably want at least a rowboat, a spear, and a repair kit (you can grab a quick repair kit by hammering the debris at spawn). Once Quacken is spawned, just avoid the tentacles and waves as best you can (especially the tentacles as they hit for a lot), check the map to see where Quacken's head is, then head over there and wack it until it goes away (that sounds wrong). It'll most likely resurface twice more if you're not playing as wimpy Wes, so repeat again.

Once you have your Quacken loot (including the iron key), you're going to want to find some spiders for silk so you can craft a fishing rod. You need to find those foggy shipwrecked areas that I mentioned before. Within those areas will be "watery graves" that look like wooden crates. Fish those up, and you have a chance at spawning the bone key. The probability that you'll spawn the bone key increases as the number of watery graves in the world decrease.

While you're boating around looking for shipwrecked areas, it'll also be prudent to keep an eye out for our ol' pal Yaarctopus as well as the volcano. We will also need to find these two locations, so may as well keep a lookout. In fact, both Yaarctopus and the volcano tend to be located on the outer edges of the map, so definitely keep close to the edges if you want to find them quickly. You do want to find them quickly, right? Wood legs is stuck in a cage somewhere! Of course you do!

Every time you trade with Yaarctopus, there is a 10% chance that the golden key will be spawned. Yaarctopus only trades once per day, so you have to be quite lucky to get it on the first day you encounter him, but hey, when is luck not at least a part of speedruns?

Once you have all three keys, it's off to the volcano. Dodge the dragoons on your way to unlock Wood Legs cage, and that's it! You've done the deed, and now you can play as Wood legs!
