Tesla Gigafactory Texas 25 September 2020 Construction Update

Описание к видео Tesla Gigafactory Texas 25 September 2020 Construction Update

25 September Giga Texas Update video. Major news is that rebar, footings and concrete application have already begun at Giga Texas in just the past 24 hours! This is about a week earlier than what had been expected and is a indicator that they are really moving quickly with construction. In addition, a mobile concrete batch plant is being built in the north pad area to help meet the need of Giga Texas concrete work soon.
Keystone is the contractor installing the rebar and concrete footers as well as the main foundation itself. Martin Marietta is setting up the mobile batch plant in addition to their on-site permanent batch plant, and it appears that they have brought in a large number of cement trucks recently. We also learned recently that Jacobs Engineering and Yates Construction have joined in the construction efforts at Giga Texas.
In today’s video, following on information in the 23 September video), we discuss the projected timelines necessary to meet Tesla’s aggressive target date of 30 December “Dry-In” which means interior construction on some of the facilities can begin. We also recently learned that Tesla Procurement Manager Jessica Munoz is looking to hire a number of smaller contractors in October and November to do everything from paint and interior work to electrical, plumbing fencing and even janitorial work. Things are truly moving quickly now.
Six footers have been excavated, fitted with rebar and filled with concrete and crews are preparing a number of future ones already. GeoPier foundation support work is now being accomplished in the large casting and/or stamping machine pit on the south east side of the larger of the two foundations. In addition, GeoPier work continues in the center and north sections of the same foundation.
The northwest pond area is seeing heavy work today, and the pond is now all but gone. Work to fill this area to bring it level to the rest of the site and allow the foundation to extend to it’s final length has noticeably accelerated in the past 48 hours.
The far east side clearing work continues with a industrial mulching machine getting rid of numerous trees that have been dug up. The near east side by the powerline towers is almost completely flat now and looks like it may become a staging area for the next part of Giga Texas construction efforts.
The large water detention pond in the south is taking it’s final shape already. There is a area in the north near where the mobile concrete batch plant is being constructed that may either be a new water detention pond or some other structure as it is getting quite deep. Perhaps this is being used for fill dirt near the main foundations?
