Focusing on Strengths- A Parent's Journey

How do you define a strength or a skill? For many it begins with trying out a lot of different things to figure out what is it that they enjoy doing the most. So, isn’t the enthusiasm to try a lot of different things the biggest strength of them all?
In this episode of our podcast, we are delighted to spotlight the 14 year old Shreya, who loves to try a lot of different things with gusto and have a conversation with her mother, the inimitable Shivani Dhillon, also known as story aunty, jibber jabber and more, about raising children and other adventures and how social story telling can make the most challenging of these adventures seamless and fun.

Host Shwetha is parent of 18-year-old Aditi, an award winning author on the autism spectrum and 6-year-old Kriti who is already creative with her poems and artworks. As a parent-advocate, Shwetha feels that there is so much of conflicting views on the internet about neurodiversity that it would help if parents are able to access reliable resources that would help them work with their child better. She wants to bring to the fore stories of special-needs parents who have focussed on their child's strength and passion to make the journey for all of them happier.
