Low Fell, Loweswater Fell and Fellbarrow

Описание к видео Low Fell, Loweswater Fell and Fellbarrow

In my opinion, this has to be The Best View in the Lake District from a Small Fell and most people do not even go there!
I parked on the road side just outside the small hamlet of Thackthewaite and walked up the road to the start of the walk, signposted (Low Fell) right through the farmyard in the small hamlet. I had intended (like most people) to just do the two Wainwright Fells of Low Fell and Fellbarrow but after being wowed by the stunning view from the first Wainwright summit of Low Fell, instead of backtracking and heading towards Fellbarrow, I pushed on to the summit of Loweswater Fell. Although this is not classed as a Wainwright, I was totally blown away by the majestic view it gave me over Crummock Water, Loweswater and the Buttermere Valley, giving me, what I consider to be the Best Lake District view from a small Fell, absolutely stunning views. I had the whole summit to myself and after an extended lunch, I backtracked to climb the second and final Wainwright of the day, Fellbarrow. A perfect days hiking, in amazing summers weather.
