In this cello lesson I go over the subject of finger balance in the left hand. Emphasisizng the importance of not squeezing with the thumb when you depress the string with your left hand, but instead feel as if you are pulling the string down with the weight of your arm into your hand. Also important to note is to make sure your other fingers remain relaxed and that the weight of your arm is centered over the finger in use!
