Hyundai Atos 1.1 Motion Test Review

Описание к видео Hyundai Atos 1.1 Motion Test Review

Hyundai cemented their reputation in South Africa with the original Atoz and Getz models.

In the next generation, the names changed to i10 and Grand i10 but the reputation for smaller quality cars offering great value continued.

The latest generation named Atos this time was launched at the end of 2019. Offered as a single model this now serves as the entry to the extensive Hyundai line-up in SA.

The little car has a 1.1L 4 cylinder engine giving 50kW and 99Nm through a 5 speed manual gearbox. You have to accept that this is designed as an entry level city car, so performance is no ball of fire but is perfectly acceptable for its intended use. More important in this market segment is that I averaged 5.9L/ 100km during commuting and a bit of freeway driving.

Talking of freeway driving, the Atos felt very stable and comfortable cruising at 120, so no complaints but you must be aware of the performance level when wanting to overtake.

The Atos may be an entry level model but it's certainly well equipped. ABS brakes, 2 airbags, air-con, electric front windows and even Isofix fittings. The clincher, deemed most important in this market segment, is the standard infotainment touchscreen that includes Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

The Atos is currently priced at R159 900 and this includes a 1 year/ 15 000km service plan as well as Hyundai's 7 year/ 200 000km warranty.
