BYD Atto 3 EV: Road trip Perth to Kalgoorlie

Well my wife finally picked up her new car, the BYD Atto 3.

It was my job to drive it back from Perth to the Goldfields, a trip of around 600kms, with maybe a few side trips thrown in!

It was my first long trip with a full EV. When I planned the route initially, the WA EV network ( DC Fast chargers ) were still being constructed and I was
unsure whether they would be open in Merredin or Southern Cross.

As a precaution, I booked an extra night in Merredin, even though the AirBNB I stay at sometimes has a 7kw Wall charger.

After arriving in Merredin my host told me the the wall charger had been playing up, buuuuuuut, the fast chargers in Merredin had opened a few days before my trip! #winning

I stayed an extra night in Merredin and had planned to Granny charge in Moorine Rock at the AirBNB ( About 20kms from Southern Cross )
Late on my 2nd day in Merredin, I found out the Southern Cross chargers had just opened that day!

So I cut my trip short and left Merredin early on the 3rd day, stopping at Southern Cross to fully charge before heading to Kalgoorlie.

I believe I was the 2nd person to use the chargers in Southern Cross, and we may be the first people in Kalgoorlie to own a BYD Atto 3.
