My Wife, two kids, and myself, have been living in our 32 foot 5th wheel trailer for a year and a half at our friends' beautiful property in Escondido, California. We finally decided that it was time for us to start our Adventure! We are going to The Big Bend of the Colorado River Campground. Take a look for yourself at what the campground has to offer.
Spacious RV and tent spots with full hookups or no hookups are almost level gravel pull through and back in spots. The campground is in the same park as the recreation area. There is a good amount of parking at the river. There is also a boat launch so you can bring your water crafts to play on the water. There is plenty of beach area on the river itself and also in a lagoon off of the river to walk into the river and cool off.
We arrived a little after 9:00 am on Friday, July 30th and most of the camp spots were empty. On Saturday, the campground filled up to about 65% full.
I highly recommend the Big Bend of the Colorado River Campground. the cost is $20 for a spot without hook ups and $30 for one with full hookups. It was a great first stop on TheWildWaynes' Adventure! Subscribe to see where we go next!
