Welcome back, travel lovers! It’s Day 13 of our epic 15-day Marella Cruises holiday, and today, we’re exploring the vibrant St John's, Antigua! 🇦🇬
Our adventure began with a hearty breakfast at The Kitchens on Deck 11, followed by our morning ritual at The Coffee Port on Deck 6 – nothing beats a double espresso to kickstart the day! ☕
Once caffeinated, it was time for our highly anticipated “Catamaran Cruise & Lobster Lunch” excursion, and let me tell you, this was an experience to remember! 🌊
The Catamaran Adventure
🚤 Setting Sail
Our journey began with a short 5-minute walk from the Marella Voyager to the catamaran, where we were greeted by a warm and friendly crew. The adventure lasted 6 incredible hours, complete with unlimited drinks 🍹 and stunning views of Antigua’s coastline.
🏝️ Beach Stops
We made two stops at breathtaking beaches with soft white sand and calm turquoise waters:
Valley Church Beach – 1 hour 20 minutes of pure paradise.
Deep Bay Beach – 45 minutes of relaxation and exploration.
The beaches were peaceful, and the warm Caribbean sun made them the perfect spots to unwind. I couldn’t resist a stroll along the shoreline – what a treat! 🌴
🦞 Lobster Lunch
Lunch was a highlight! Although there weren’t enough tables for everyone, the crew went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. Sitting on the catamaran’s deck with Gemma and new friends, we enjoyed the biggest and tastiest lobsters I’ve ever had! 🦞✨
With a glass of bubbly in hand and the gentle sway of the catamaran, it was the ultimate luxury experience. And yes, the free-flowing drinks may have left us a bit tipsy – but that’s all part of the fun! 😄
💷 Was it worth it?
Absolutely! At just £82 per person, this Marella excursion was worth every penny. From start to finish, the day was filled with unforgettable memories, great food, and top-notch service.
Back on the Ship
Returning to the Marella Voyager, we decided to have a quick nap… which turned into a 4-hour sleep! 😴 Waking up groggy but determined, we rushed to The Exchange on Deck 8, a ticketed secret bar with live entertainment.
🎭 The Exchange Experience
The show was interactive and hilarious – I was even selected to join in! While the cocktails could use some improvement, the overall atmosphere made it a must-visit. Tickets cost £16 each and include three cocktails per person.
