Sprinkler Race - Nelson vs. Orbit vs. National Walking Sprinkler

Just for fun, let’s see which of these traveling sprinklers can move the farthest in one hour. As David Letterman used to say, this is only an exhibition so, please, no wagering.

Of course, the variables are not well controlled here. For example, in order to bring three hoses from different places around the outside of he house, the hose lengths are different (which could affect water pressure). Then again, they're all being fed simultaneously from the same well and the same pump. Each of these sprinklers is set to its "Low" speed setting. I tried to make sure that each spray arm was pointed the same way so that none was spraying too low nor too high (which could affect rotation speed), but it's not an exact science here. And I made no attempt to measure exactly how much water each sprinkler actually left on the ground during this demonstration. In the end, it looks like the National Walking Sprinkler "lost" the race but, then again, it went about as far as the specs said it should go in one hour.
