After a soul crushing outing on Miner's Creek this day, while our biggest day, was surprisingly chill. We had a big climb up to Searle Pass and across to Kokomo Pass. Then dropped down towards HWY 24 passing the locals (big sheep heards) along the way. We rolled our way over to Leadville, grabbed some burritos and horchata at the first Mexican food truck we saw and were on our way to BV. We wound our way across the base of Mount Elbert, which held some of the best single track ATMO. Then a fast and furious road section into Buena Vista where we mowed down burgers, fries, and shakes at Pancho's (missed K's Dairy Delite by 7min!!!) before shlepping up Cottonwood pass for 10miles to the CT trailhead.
