Hemp Butter was one of my top 10 feed discoveries when I came to Latvia and I've been keen to try and replicate it at home ever since. This year I grew my own hemp plants in our nodig garden and harvested the seeds to use.

Hemp is an amazing plant of which all of it can be used. The seeds can be used for butter like this for protein powder, hemp tea etc and the stalks can be used for sustainable building products.

Hemp seeds are extremely healthy and contain all the needed amino acids as well as being high in protein and a good source of Vitamin E and B and minerals iron, manganese and magnesium.

Our Story:
In 2018 we left the UK to come to Gita’s family homestead here in north Latvia, not far from the Estonian border and now we live somewhere nowhere in the middle of a forest in a house built by Gita’s grandfather. We’re videoing our journey and trying to give you some insights into how we’re living here.
