This tactic starts similar to a basic serve and volley shot pattern but the net player (server's partner) will poach on the return. Play the serve down the center and the poacher will move on a diagonal to hit the return. The server crosses behind the net player to cover the other side.
Here's a pro clip showing a variation for this shot pattern. The net player hits the first volley back to the baseline player. On that player's return she moves towards the center and poaches hitting the next volley for a winner.
Tip:
Aggressive play at the net will often make good things happen. It's okay to poach or cross over especially on a sitter even if you had not talked with your partner beforehand about poaching on the next shot.
