Ever wondered why the tires are always black? Although tires are made of natural rubber which is white in color, they ultimately get the black color because of the black carbon.
Tires are made of a mixer of several compounds, where the major portion is covered by natural rubber, synthetic rubber, and carbon black.
Before the use of carbon black, the tires made of natural and synthetic rubber are very soft and their load-carrying capacity along with life is very short. Because of the heavy load, these non-black tires used to get deformed and get extreme tears too early.
And the solution to all these hurdles was carbon black. Tires made with the mixer of rubber and carbon black were coming out to be perfectly hard. This hardness also resulted in less heat production which ultimately increased the life of tires. Load-carrying capacity and life got also increased to a large extent because of the toughness of these carbon black tires.
The outcome of the mixer made of carbon black and white natural rubber comes out to be black, being the reason for the black color of the tires made of white natural rubber.
