Ingredients

1 cup
1/2 light corn syrup
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch salt
1 1/2 cup pecans, toasted and chopped Shute Pecan Company
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

Directions

1. Lightly butter 9x13 cookie sheet.

2. In microwave safe glass bowl, stir together sugar and syrup. Microwave for 2 minutes on high power. Remove from microwave and stir. Microwave 2 more minutes.

3. Remove from microwave and stir in butter, salt and pecans. Stir until nuts are coated. Microwave 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

4. Remove from microwave and add vanilla and baking soda. Stir until foamy and immediately pour onto cookie sheet and spread into a thin layer.

Allow Brittle to cool completely. Break into desired sized pieces.
