See five glaciers: Taku glacier, The Hole-In-The-Wall glacier, the West Twin glacier, the East Twin glacier, and the Norris glacier. Tour starts in Downtown Juneau, heads up the Gastineau channel, crosses over the Taku Inlet, goes over the glaciers, and then returns. Take off and lands in water with seaplane.

The Juneau Icefield is over 1,500 square miles and consists of over 40 large glaciers and 100 small ones. Glaciers are persistent bodies of ice that form when snow accumulation exceeds ablation. Glaciers form over many years, often centuries. Crevasses and other notable features develop from stress induced by their weight. The Taku Glacier is the deepest and thickest known glacier in the world.
