Teac X-2000M capstan belts replacement

Background info:
My X-2000M was installed as new in a local radio station. However, the young people who drove the radio did not know what to use it for (they had probably never seen a tape recorder) so it was in absolute new condition when I bought it.
The biggest problem was that the drive belts for the capstan wheels were slack and dry, so they needed to be replaced. I bought the belt set (2 belts) on Ebay in Germany and started looking for guidance on how to replace them.
I got the X-2000M service manual, it describes a huge number of different adjustments and repairs, but funny enough not a belt change - which is guaranteed to be done from time to time...
Since I am not a service technician and have a non-existent habit of repairing electronic devices, I Googled for hours to get some tips, and found many interesting videos on how to service this machine, but none about the belt change.
Eventually I took courage and started working myself, and found that against all odds it was quite simple! When I just got the belts in place, I realized that I should of course have filmed everything and shared the procedure... But instead of doing it all over again, I took some still pictures that explain how I did it - more boring to watch but hopefully usable anyway.
