We woke up to a very scared Gatito, he usually tells us at 6am to give him breakfast, but he didn't show up, so we looked for him. He was very scared and started to suddenly run around, looking for spots to hide. His eyes told it all, they were sad and he truly looked traumatized.

5 minutes later, I discovered a huge cockroach in the bathroom, it was lying on its back facing up, moving its little legs and head - clearly, there was a fight happening here. After screaming, I told my husband to take care of it ... This also explained why Gatito kept looking afraid to his tail, that cockroach must have been on him!

But not only that, after a while we suddenly saw that Gatito had two pebbles of poop hanging in his fur, and we know that this scares our furrbabies too.... Imagine his thought of still having the cockroach on him because he wouldn't understand that its actually his poop - well that explains the sudden runnings.

After we calmed him down, he started to come out of his hiding spot, but we realized that he was licking his paw a little bit too much and a little too often, so we took a closer look and saw that his paw finger / nail, was inflamed. One hour later we went to the vet, where he got one injection for the inflammation and one injection with antibiotics. We also decided to give him a hygienic cut to avoid future pebbles hanging or get stuck in his long fur in the back.

Besides cleaning his paw twice a day now, we will bring him to the vet again today, to get another anti inflammation injection.

Poor Cat, such a stressful and sad day.... Back at home, he was always close to me and he finally fell asleep, but woke up several times because of nightmares. Cat nightmares are cute to watch, but Im sure it's not nice to have them, like any nightmare.

Please always have an eye on your little furrbaby when they behave differently and check if everything is fine.
