This video shows the Lionel postwar models of the Hudson locomotives. In 1937, Lionel introduced its first scale model, the Hudson. The original 4-6-4 locomotive was first launched in the US in 1927 with the J-1 of the New York Central Railroad build by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO). It was named the Hudson after the Hudson River.In the postwar period, Lionel first offered a streamlined version of the Hudson and in 1950 a remake of the scale Hudson. Several less detailed models were subsequently introduced. Here you will see all the major Lionel models of the postwar Hudson production.
