The incredibly-successful Beltline Urban Mural Project has spread far outside the bounds of it's namesake community since its launch in 2017. BUMP, and other similar #publicart and #mural projects have since become a ubiquitous feature of the #streetscape across #Calgary. A distinctive symbol of our city, and its transformation into a more vibrant, diverse, and creative urban place.

Enabling #urbanart in underutilized spaces is a simple but critical way to build livable and meaningful places — facilitating connection between spaces, and the people who inhabit it — creating recognizable symbols and landmarks, telling complex and unique stories, and above all... just collaborating as a community to make the place look a lot prettier!
