How do you KNOW who goes first each turn? To begin the game it’s random who will go first, but then it is decided on who is winning the most locations. You can see who will go first each round by looking at each player’s name and seeing who has the glowing box. This indicates they will play first that turn. This matters a lot as some cards like Elektra may not be effective unless your opponent plays first. So make sure you keep this in mind when you play cards with abilities that rely on opponent’s play.

The order in which you put your cards down in your hand, even in the same turn, determines the order they are played. This matters a lot for abilities. For example, for wolfsbane, I want to put down other cards first so that he can gain +2 power from each card there before he is revealed.

On turn 6 if you are winning 2 of the 3 locations, you almost always should attack the location you are not winning. This may seem counterintuitive or you may just want to bodyslam that one location to get 1400 points, but if you want to win, you should play enough cards to overtake the only location that your opponent is currently winning. This will force them to have to regain control of 2 of the 3 spots AND guess which 2 they can effectively win. That’s extremely difficult if not impossible to do usually.

Moves 4 through 6 are where the game is won or lost. Early on, you usually only have so many options. But always stay tuned in to your deck and what you’re turn 4, 5 and 6 might look like so that you can ensure you don’t overload one location and leave yourself no options. Calculate the math on each potential play you have with cards in your hand and play the ones that will yield the MOST power on 2 locations by turn 6.

Don’t know what to do in the last 2 rounds? Let the timer run a bit! I’ve found that opponents often get flustered or worried and sometimes panic retreat which yields you a win in a game where you may have lost.

You should ALWAYS retreat when you are sure you are going to lose. Winners always quit!! Sometimes the cards just don’t go your way. It’s better to retreat on Turn 5 or 6 than to play the cards and forfeit more cubes which will de-rank you faster.

On the flip side, if you want to rank up super fast, then make sure you snap by Turn 3. If you really wanna be that guy, spam emotes to get your opponent to snap too so you have the chance to win up to 8 cubes in a victory.

Take advantage of hot locations. Every once in a while the game will feature a hot location and you’ll see that location in most of the games you play. Try to customize your decks to take advantage of that location since you’ll be seeing it so much.

Maximize your energy. More often than not, you want to use the energy you have each round. Use or lose it! There are almost always only 6 turns so pair your energy spending accordingly. On turn 6 you may be better off with a 4 cost and 2 cost play instead of a 6 cost card. Or maybe even a 3 cost and 3 one cost cards! Always weigh your options and get the most power for the energy spent.

Build out your decks with intention. Yes you can play the coolest cards or ones you like the best, but you really want to pair cards together that boost each other. Check out my other videos for the absolute beck deck builds and a turn by turn walkthrough of how to play them effectively.

Claim your free credits! Each day if you head over to the shop you will be able to claim 50 free credits. That's 350 credits per week. It may not be a ton, but these certainly add up and will help you rank up cards faster, for absolutely no cost!

Rank up your cards to increase your collection level. This is the way you’re going to unlock new cards which will help you build better decks. If you want to rank up one card a ton, you’ll actually want to leave it gray for as long as possible. This way the game will feed that card extra credits to encourage you to rank it up.

Use your gold on refilling missions so that you can continue to unlock more credits and even more gold. Otherwise if you play a lot you will eventually max out your missions and have to wait for them to refill over time. Use your gold that you earn to remove the refill time and exponentially upgrade your status.
