Building Pack Drive with a Pack Walk

Описание к видео Building Pack Drive with a Pack Walk

When a dog is in pack drive mode, you will likely experience a much more pleasant walking experience.

Is your dog triggered by running dogs, squirrels, birds, moving people, cyclists, etc? That prey drive trigger can shift back to pack drive with proper corrections and leadership.

In my opinion, they are absolutely allowed to shift back and forth, but they need to be obedient and respectful to the handler in the process.

Poppy is one of our newest members and after spending the first 20-ish minute in her own land on this pack walk, she suddenly shifted to pack drive and in that moment, Buttercup stepped back (she has a longer lead so I can analyze situations in a bit of a different way) to join the pack and they all were walking side by side, so beautiful, together.

This all happened naturally. This rarely will happen within the first 15 minutes of a walk. Their mental state shifts. They wear off some energy. It is one of the reasons why your dog walks MUST be more than 45 minutes. Any shorter than that really may not be enough.
