Abu Dhabi T10 League 2021 got underway on Thursday (January 28) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium. A total of three matches were played on the opening day of the tournament.

Pune Devils started their campaign with an impressive 7-wicket win over last edition's runners-up Deccan Gladiators. Asked to bat first, the Gladiators finished their innings on 104 for 5. Azam Khan top-scored for his side, scoring an unbeaten 37 off 13 balls. For the Devils, their skipper Nasir Hossain picked up 3 wickets for 18 runs. With the bat, the Devils chased down the total with four balls to spare. Opener Kennar Lewis led the charge with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 57 to take his team home.
