History is being repeated with a 21st century Salem Witch Trials or Catholic Inquisition. This is not the 1200’s in Medieval Europe or the 1600’s in Massachusetts; it is the year 2015 in Somerville, New Jersey, USA.

Mrs. Patricia Jannuzzi was a theology teacher at Immaculatta High School a Roman Catholic high school in Somerville, New Jersey. Mr. Jannuzzi was recently suspended from her teaching because of what she wrote on her private Facebook page. Here is what she wrote:

“In other words they [advocates of same-sex marriage] want to reeingineer western civ into a slow extinction. We need healthy families with a mother and a father for the sake of the children and humanity!!!!”

Mrs. Jannuzzi has been crucified and euphemistically burned at the stake accusing her as being homophobic and engaging in hate speech. Her Facebook note roused up the politically correct “thought police,” and assorted b-list Hollywood pervert thespians in self-righteous anger.

The principle of the school suspended her while priest in the area also joined the inquisition in condemning her. Really? Here is what Pope Francis had to say/write on this issued on November 17, 2014:

“Children have a right to grow up in a family with a father and mother capable of creating a suitable environment for the child’s development and emotional maturity.”

It is not difficult to understand there is little difference between what Pope Francis wrote/said and what Mrs. Patricia Jannuzzi wrote. So now will Pope Francis be condemned by the “thought police,” and suffer a modern day Catholic Inquisition?

This bishop of the Diocese of Metuchen which covers the high school, Bishop Paul Gregory Bootkoski said on March 20, 2015:

"However, she has never been terminated, as some media outlets have reported. She has been put on administrative leave. There has been no interruption in her pay and benefits.”

Technically the Bishop was correct, however morally he is a liar. Mrs. Jannuzzi will receive pay and benefits up until August, 2015, and will not be rehired to teach in September, 2015. Now is that not a firing? We have here a politically correct Roman Catholic Bishop playing semantics with the career of a devout Catholic theology teacher. It is repugnant and disgusting.

The Catholic Bishops in the United States this century have demonstrated collectively hypocrisy beyond comprehension. During a Bishop’s conference in Washington, DC. The Bishops invited Roman Catholic Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (from San Francisco) to address the group. Remember, heretic Pelosi is a major supporter of abortion at any time during a pregnancy. This is counter to major Catholic teaching. Yet this body of Bishops applauded heretic Pelosi. Sickening!

Years later the Catholic Bishops at another conference in Washington, DC invited another heretic Roman Catholic, then Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, and she too received approving applause. Ms. Sebelius is the one who pushed for Catholic institutions to be required to pay for abortions and provide birth control pills. Both of which run counter to Catholic teachings.

One not agreeing with same-sex marriage or “marriage equality” does not make one anti-gay or homophobic. The gay community in the United States is being exploited by liberals to attain their goal of minimizing of not eliminating Christianity. The first target of Christians is the Roman Catholic Church because the leaders in the Church are riddled with political correctness fearing to challenge the thought-police.
