SUMMARY & PERSONAL THOUGHTS
When I say this was some of the cleanest paint I've ever seen leave my shop, I mean it. These new 2022 Mazda 3 are just wildly clean and correct so easily, that it was probably one of the more enjoyable paint corrections I've done in a while. And I have to give it to Mazda, just an overall clean car. It used to be that Mazda 3's were "eh, it is what it is, how many turbos have you blown, etc.." but now they're just overall nice.

Washing this car at 6am on a Sunday was perfect too. I think I'll definitely start doing that if possible because it wasn't nearly as bad as 12pm washing. Florida this time of year is just brutal for Detailers, I'm so happy I have a shop to pull the car into and go from 100 degrees to 78. Especially with doing small things such as coating the wheels, I'm so happy I can do that inside, LET ALONE able to polish outside from the sun!

As I said throughout the video, Mazda, as well as most other JDM cars, have soft paint, sometimes a little harder, but mostly soft. Which, going into to this knowing that, meant that Perfect Finish + yellow fine polishing pads from both Rupes & Griots Garage would work perfect, and it did! These Griots Garage 1" yellow pads are fantastic by the way. I like these way more than the Rupes one for 1" polishing. They keep their integrity, easy to clean, don't turn to mush, easy to dust off with an air compressor, honestly, these pads EASILY took the #1 spot on my 1" pad list.

After all of that, we used Drexler Ceramic Coating instead of Crystal Serum Light + EXOv4 because we had a fresh box of Drexler. A great alternative to GTechniq's coating system if you're wanting to save some money as well as try a coating thats even easier to work with. Either way, car was insanely glossy, hydrophobic, UV Protected, and just overall GORGEOUS.
