We are doing a road trip to 7 of South Africa’s National parks from Cape Town, our first park to visit is Karoo National Park.
From the moment we arrived, the Park was filled with life, fun and action. We had to camp due to the overbooked time of the year, but it was such a blessing. It was a first come first serve at the campsite. There was only one site reserved for the Honory Ranger on duty. It was lush with a manicured lawn, sprinkler system and shade. We knew it was off limits, so we chose the site next door to it. We enjoyed the shade and the sprinkler for a brief time, and then ventured out to explore the park. This park was indeed top class. The campsite, ablutions, camp reception, shop, restaurant, swimming pool, the famous Fossil trail, the animals, the bugs, the birds, the driver to the lookout, it was all top class.
This park comes highly rated, albeit right in the middle of the Karoo desert.

Follow us as we explore more of South Africas top parks. The next park to visit is the youngest off all the Sanparks, Mokala National Park, bordering the Free State and the Northern Cape.
